Asha N Singhani, Founder - Animal Welfare Charitable Trust

Asha N Singhani, Founder & Chief Patron

Asha’s love for dogs goes back to the time she was 12 years old when she took in a stray dog from Napean Sea Road in South Bombay and gave it a home. On her frequent visits to India, her heart breaks for every stray dog she encounters. The intensity of her desire to find a real solution led her to establish in Amritsar, the first of many planned Animal Birth Control Programs in India.

India has an estimated 35 million Stray or Street dogs.

Our Vision is to:

  1. Open completely free animal birth control clinics, known as ABC programs, in every town and city in India.
  2. Bring together like-minded volunteers and dog lovers to assist in this endeavor and end the suffering of these innocent animals
  3. Partner with municipalities and districts to provide training, protocols, clinicians, and funds for Neuter & Spay services.
